Safety Policy & Consideration for the Environment

We have been working on the following issues at each center.

	Efficient use of vegetable scraps:	See Photos
The vegetable scraps produced when preparing lunch in the kitchen at each center, are collected and brought to Tanba to make compost. We use this compost to cultivate the fields.

	Providing lunch with safe ingredients:
Recently, there have been a variety of incidents related to food. We don’trely on a lunch company, but instead have full-time staff. At each center, we have certified nutritionists and chefs, and prepare lunch with great care. Bearing in mind “Safe cooking that is kind to the body”, we avoid the use of chemical seasonings, are careful about the use of food additives, and as a general rule do not use margarine and other products that contain trans-fatty acids. 	Maintaining a sanitary kitchen:	See Photos
In our corporation, full-time staff prepare lunch at each center, so it is necessary to keep the kitchen clean at all times. Therefore, we have year-round contracts with professional pest control operators for cockroaches and other pests, with monthly inspections and treatments if necessary. ※Osaka City granted each of our centers with an award for "Excellence Workplace for Environmental Hygiene and Food Sanitation". This is granted to institutions that excel in hygiene management.

	Providing safe toys and equipment:
We are inundated with various toxic substances, such as lead, which was detected in imported toys.　In our corporation, equipment with the safety standard marks “JIS”, “ST”, and “SG” are used wherever possible. (Except in cases where there is no substitute.)　Also, we try to indicate any gifts that have been donated to our corporation, which might fail to meet these standards.

	Using cleaning products that are environmentally friendly and kind to the body:
In our corporation, we have facilities for outdoor experiences for individuals, their families and our staff to feel connected to nature. There they learn about environmental issues and each center’s policies. Our main approach is to use soap that is kind to the environment and the human body, as well as detergent and floor wax that doesn't fall under the PRTR system for chemical substances. However, there are cases where necessary items for the safety of the individual cannot follow this principle.

	Installing air purifier humidifiers in each room to provide a healthier environment:	See photos
In our corporation, air purifier humidifiers run 24 hours a day in all rooms except the offices. These machines remove allergens such as bacteria, viruses, pollen, diesel formaldehyde dust and exhaust fumes. They also deodorize the space and maintain moderate humidity levels, providing a secure and pleasant environment.
