We accepted 2 interns from a college in Ohio, U.S.A. They arrived in Japan
on July 8th and from July 12th started to work at our daycare center for
children, Kazenoko Hoikuen and daycare center for adults with intellectual
disabilities, Kazenoko Sodachien. We organized a welcome party, a dinner
party, and sightseeing with our staff and tried to help make their experience
in Japan as rich as possible. At first, they seemed to be lost with the
change to their lifestyle and working in a Japanese institution, but as
expected of young people, they seemed to get used to life here very quickly. |
