Ume (Japanese Plum) juice
The 5-year-old children from Kazenoko Hoikuen brought organic Japanese plums from Tanba. Everyone in the 2-year-old childrenfs class made Ume juice. Two weeks later, we ate shaved ice with the Ume juice syrup at snack time.

First, we made holes in the Ume using bamboo sticks.

Putting the Ume and sugar alternately into the jar.
The children are also watching intently.

The staff made the shaved ice in front of the children.
