Ume (Japanese Plum) juice The 5-year-old children from Kazenoko Hoikuen brought organic Japanese plums from Tanba. Everyone in the 2-year-old children’s class made Ume juice. Two weeks later, we ate shaved ice with the Ume juice syrup at snack time.

First, we made holes in the Ume using bamboo sticks.	“Look! I managed to do it!”
Putting the Ume and sugar alternately into the jar. The children are also watching intently.	The Ume juice is complete.
The staff made the shaved ice in front of the children.	“Come and get it in turns!”
It’s so cold and tasty.☆	We ate it up without a moment’s thought!
